The basic raw materials of thermoplastic elastomers are monomers. Refining methods are distillation, washing, drying and so on. Polymerization is a process of polymerization of monomers under the action of initiator and catalyst. Sometimes using a polymerization device, and sometimes multiple serial use. The polymerization process of synthetic rubber mainly consists of two methods: emulsion polymerization and solution polymerization. At present, styrene butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, butadiene rubber and butyl rubber are used in emulsion polymerization. The process of post treatment is to make the material (latex or liquid) after the polymerization, and to remove the unreacted monomer, condensation, dehydration, drying and packaging, and finally the process of making the finished rubber. The coagulation process of emulsion polymerization mainly uses electrolytes or polymer coagulants to destroy latex and precipitate colloidal particles. The condensation process of solution polymerization is mainly composed of hot water condensation. After agglomeration, the colloidal particles containing large amounts of water need to be dehydrated and dried.
