1, epdm rubber

EPDM is composed of ethylene and propylene monomer combined with a small amount of non-conjugated diolefins. Its structure is characterized by saturated double bonds in the main chain of polymer molecules and unsaturated double bonds in the branched chain. Therefore, it has excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, ozone resistance, ultraviolet linearity, good processing performance and low compression permanent deformation, and is the preferred material for the production of sealing strip. At present, EPDM is used as the main raw material for automobile sealing strip.

According to the different parts and functions of the seal strip, vulcanization, protection, reinforcement, operating system materials and special imparting materials (such as colorant and foaming agent) are added to THE EPDM material in practical application to form the compact glue (including black glue and color glue) and sponge glue.

2. PVC

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a traditional general plastic, through modification of its anti-aging performance and rubber feeling greatly improved, but because of its poor elasticity, in the sealing strip is mainly used as the inside and outside strip and some sealing strip clamping site materials. In trucks and agricultural vehicles, PVC is also commonly used as body door frame sealing strip, and in cars, it is often combined with EPDM as light color auxiliary material.

3. Thermoplastic elastomer

Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE/TPV) is in recent years the development of the material, its structure is composed of two kinds of plastic and rubber, so to some extent, the characteristics of both the plastic and rubber, without sulfide in the machining process, easy to implement in the cross section of the precise control, material under certain conditions can recycle at the same time, the environmental pollution is small, therefore, is to the vehicle and seal the system designer's attention.
