1. Classify according to the name of the installation position (part) of the automobile sealing strip. The sealing strip of engine cover can be divided into front, side wall and rear; Door frame sealing strip; Front and rear windshield seals; Side window sealing strip; Sunroof sealing strip; Door head seal strip; Sealing strip of window guide slot; Inner and outer side strips (water cutting); Trunk sealing strip; Anti noise sealing strip; Dust strips, etc. 

2. It is classified according to the cross-sectional shape of the automobile sealing strip. It can be divided into solid products (round, square and flat sections), hollow products and metal rubber composite products. Among them, metal rubber composite sealing strips account for more than 60%. The section design of rubber sealing strip is very important. First, design the shape and size of the sealing lip. The sealing lips on both sides should contact the glass from both sides of the window glass with the same and appropriate force. The length and thickness of the lip should be appropriate. Too thick and too long will make the glass lift resistance too large, and too thin and too short will lead to poor guidance and sealing of the glass, resulting in vibration, noise and rain leakage. Secondly, the shape and size of the bottom of the section are designed. The steel channel part of the window has a protrusion, which is used to match the guide channel. Therefore, the corresponding structure shall be designed at the bottom of the guide groove section to facilitate installation, and the seal strip can be stuck on the steel guide groove by its elasticity to prevent it from coming out. It is the shape and size of the outer ring. In order to improve the appearance, the outer surface of the guide groove shall closely fit the vehicle body. 

3. It is classified according to the sealing characteristics of automobile sealing strips. It can be divided into sealing strip and general sealing strip. Among them, the weather sealing strip has a hollow sponge bubble tube, which has a good heat preservation and moisture retention function. Commonly used weatherproof sealing strips include door frame sealing strip, trunk sealing strip and engine cover sealing strip. Common sealing strips include front and rear windshield sealing strips, corner window sealing strips, inner and outer strips, etc. 

4. Classified according to compound structure of rubber. Can be divided into pure rubber sealing strip - composed of a single rubber; Two composite sealing strips - composed of dense glue and foamed sponge glue. The dense glue often contains axial metal skeleton materials; Composite sealing strip - it is composed of two kinds of sealing glue (one of which is light) and sponge glue, and usually contains metal skeleton and reinforcing fiber inside the sealing glue. Four kinds of composite sealing strips, the surface of cotton rubber (foam pipe) is covered with a thin rubber protective layer, which further extends the service life of the seal. 

5. Classify according to the material variety of automobile sealing strip. It can be divided into rubber sealing strips; Plastic sealing strip; Thermoplastic elastomer seals. 

6. It is classified according to the surface treatment status of the automobile sealing strip. After additional treatment, some sealing strips can be classified as flocked sealing strips and coated sealing strips; With fabric trim seal 

7. Classification of special functions. Some sealing strips have electronic intelligence functions, such as anti pinch sealing strips.
