Train epDM sealing rubber strip has excellent aging resistance. Weather resistance, ozone resistance, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance, water vapor resistance, color stability, electrical properties, oil filling and normal temperature flow. Epdm rubber strip can be used for a long time at 120℃, and can be used temporarily or intermittently at 150-200℃. Adding suitable antiaging agent can raise its service temperature.
Epdm crosslinked with peroxide can be used under harsh conditions. Epdm rubber can not crack for more than 150h under the condition of ozone concentration of 50pphm and stretching of 30%.
1, water vapor resistance:
Epdm sealing rubber strip has excellent steam resistance and is estimated to be better than its heat resistance.
2, corrosion resistance:
Due to the lack of polarity and low desaturation of epDM sealing rubber strip, it has good resistance to various polar chemicals such as alcohol, acid, alkali, oxidant, refrigerant, detergent, animal and vegetable oil, ketone and grease.
3, electrical performance:
Epdm sealing strip has excellent electrical insulation performance and corona resistance, electrical performance is better than or close to styrene butadiene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, polyethylene and crosslinked polyethylene.
4, over hot water resistance:
The epDM rubber strip also has good resistance to hot water, but it is closely related to all vulcanization systems. After soaking in 125℃ superheated water for 15 months, the mechanical properties of EPDM rubber strip with didiprid and TMTD as vulcanization system change very little, and the volume expansion rate is only 0. 3%.
5, adhesion:
Epdm sealing strip due to the lack of molecular structure of active group, low cohesion, and easy to spray glue, self viscosity and mutual viscosity is very poor.
6. Elasticity:
Due to the molecular structure of epDM rubber strip without polar substituents, molecular cohesion is low, the molecular chain can maintain flexibility in a wide range, second only to natural rubber and butadiene rubber, and can still be maintained at low temperature.
